BHARAT SEAMLESS METAL TUBES is an Indian manufacturer of Stainless Steel, Duplex Stainless Steel, and High Nickel Alloy Seamless Tubes, Pipes, and U-Tubes. The factory is located in Vaghaldhara, Valsad, Gujarat. 215 kilometers from Mumbai City, on a land area of 1,35,000 square feet, to meet domestic requirements and to replace imports of Stainless Steel, Duplex Stainless Steel, and High Nickel Alloy Seamless Tubes and Pipes.
The Walking Hearth Furnace is a gas-fired furnace to reheat round billets for hot forming. The furnace is divided into different zones where the temperature of billets is gradually raised as they acquire plastic form.
The input stock received from WHF with a temperature in the hot forming range is brought to the two-roll piercers. A mandrel mounted on the opposite side of the piercer is brought between the rolls, and the input stock is forced by the rolls to be hot-formed into the shape of a hollow shell.
The hollow shell is then shifted to an elongated shape. A mandrel bar is inserted in the hollow shell, and the same is rolled between elongator rolls. In this process, the internal surface of the hollow shell is finished. The second mode of elongator makes provision for introducing a plug from the opposite side of the mandrel flow, enabling diameter enlargement of the hollow shell as compared with the one produced at the piercer
The hollow shell is then passed through a sizing mill having a combination of multiple rolls, finishing the outer surface of the pipe. The thickness of the pipe is not theoretically altered in this process.
For the heat treatment of tubes and pipes, a 15-meter gas-fired continuous roller hearth furnace is used. For consistent annealing operations with minimum surface degradation The furnace is divided into multiple temperature zones.
Cold-drawn seamless steel tubes are required for boilers, heat exchangers, and super heaters, as well as for mechanical applications. Our cold-drawing tube manufacturing facility produces products with outer diameters ranging from 19 mm to 101 mm and wall thicknesses ranging from 2 mm to 10 mm.
The double-roll cold rolling pilger mill is capable of producing precision and thin-walled tubes. The cold rolling operation not only ensures dimensional precision but also develops better mechanical properties through cold forming. This operation allows for tubes with outer diameters ranging from 4mm to 88.9mm and wall thicknesses as low as 0.3mm.
